Mayor Tim Vaughn White Oak is a growing city that welcomes development in all sectors of the community, including residential, industrial, retail and services. For evidence of the community's growth, look no farther than the residential and retail markets. Since 1996, White Oak has witnessed the development of several residential subdivisions including Woodbine Place, a three phase development in north White Oak, and numberous retail establishments, including a Brookshire's Grocery Store, McDonald's Family Restaurant, Subway Sandwich Shop, Wendy's, Golden Fried Chicken and a Taco Bell/KFC store. Throughout this growth process, the White Oak Chamber of Commerce and the White Oak Economic Development Corporation (WOEDCO) have served many organizations, companies and individuals in their efforts to grow and prosper. Working in partnership with the City of White Oak municipal services and both school and municipal taxing entities, city leaders have streamlined the development process and established added incentives for quality developers. |
